Program description

• Day 01: Hanoi Arrival

  Arrival at Hanoi Airport. You will be welcomed by our guide and driver who will take you to your hotel in Hanoi. The hotel check-in time is set at 14:00. If you wish, you can also enjoy a one-hour relaxing massage to relieve the fatigue of the journey for an additional 25 USD per person.

  After a long flight, you will have free time to rest and recharge. Once refreshed, we will begin our city tour by exploring its historic center. First, we will stroll along the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Returned Sword), then venture into the lively alleys of the Old Quarter of the 36 Guilds by cyclo or on foot — a vibrant and colorful experience!

  Next, we will visit the Ngoc Son Temple, a sanctuary built in 1841, dedicated to Confucianist and Taoist deities as well as the national hero Tran Hung Dao. To access the temple, we will cross the famous red bridge The Huc, a true architectural marvel!

  To end this day full of discoveries, we will have dinner at a local restaurant where you can taste typical dishes of Vietnamese gastronomy. Dinner is included in the package.

• Day 02: Hanoi City Tour

  After enjoying your breakfast, your day begins with a must-see visit to the beautiful city of Hanoi. You will start your journey at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (please note that the mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and during the month of November). You will then marvel at the splendor of Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple.

  Continuing your tour, you will discover the Temple of Literature, once known as the first university of Vietnam. This site, steeped in history and knowledge, will transport you back to a distant era.

  In the afternoon, you will visit the fascinating Museum of Ethnology. Explore the captivating exhibits that highlight the country’s cultural diversity and admire the ethnic treasures preserved within its walls.

• Day 03: Hanoi - Hoa Binh - Mai Chau

  Transfer: ± 4h00 // Distance: ± 170 km

  After a delicious breakfast, you will prepare to depart for Hoa Binh. Upon arrival, you will be amazed by the beauty of the northern landscapes and will have the chance to discover the first Muong villages, particularly Giang Mo Binh Khanh. The Muong, one of the largest ethnic groups in Vietnam, are renowned for preserving their traditional culture. You will notice that the women proudly wear their traditional costumes, a testament to their attachment to ancestral values.

  After enjoying a succulent lunch, you will continue on the road to Mai Chau. Arriving at the end of the day, you will be welcomed into this magnificent valley inhabited by the Thai community, famous for their stilt houses. An evening full of surprises awaits you, with the possibility of attending a traditional Thai dance and music performance.

Upon arrival in Halong late in the morning, you will board a junk boat for an unforgettable cruise through this natural wonder.   Tonight, you will board an overnight train with air-conditioned 4-berth cabins to reach the charming city of Hue. Spend a peaceful night on board to be fresh and ready for the next part of your journey.

• Day 07: Hue

  Arriving in the morning in Hue, you will be warmly welcomed by your host. After a comfortable transfer, you will head to the ancient Citadel of Hue, where history comes alive before your eyes. • Day 08: Hue - Danang - Hoian

  In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we will leave the beautiful city of Hue and head towards Danang. On the way, we will make an unforgettable stop at the magnificent Lang Co Beach to visit the charming fishing village and admire the picturesque scenes unfolding before our eyes. We will then continue our journey through the Hai Van Pass (Pass of Clouds), offering spectacular panoramas of the Vietnamese coastline.

  Once in Danang, we will visit the remarkable Cham Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of artifacts from Cham culture. Next, we will have the chance to discover the superb Marble Sculpture Village, nestled at the foot of the majestic Marble Mountains. The delicate sculptures and incredible works of art reflect the talent and expertise of local artisans.

  After this enriching stop, we will continue our journey towards Hoi An, formerly known as Faifo. Stretching nearly 250 km, they connect the northern part of the city to the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail Terminal. During the war against the Americans, these tunnels were tirelessly dug, day and night, by locals and the Vietnamese guerrilla forces—an impressive feat that reflects their determination and ingenuity.

Your first stop will be at Long Thanh Island, at Mr. Út Việt’s home, where you can taste tropical fruits, sip honey tea, and discover the traditional craft of coconut shell charcoal making.

  The cruise continues towards Mỏ Cày, with a visit to a local coconut processing workshop. You will then hop on a xe lam (a traditional motorized cart) to explore the countryside and stop at a workshop producing handmade brooms.
