This morning, get ready to discover the wonderful region of the Mekong Delta, also known as the rice bowl of Vietnam. Upon your arrival in Ben Tre, begin your boat cruise on the Ham Luong River and visit Long Thanh Island, stopping at Mr. Ut Viet’s house to taste fresh fruits, honey tea, and see the process of coconut shell charcoal making. Continue your cruise to Mo Cay. Make a stop to explore the area and visit a coconut processing workshop. Take a xe Lam (a motorized cart) and stop at a local broom-making workshop, then enjoy a sampan ride along the canal before continuing the cruise to a local house for a delicious lunch of regional specialties. After the meal, take some time to stroll around and discover the local life.
